Mrs. Hubbard recently turned in her letter of resignation to our principal. Her last day at Enterprise Learning Academy was Friday, May 7th. She enjoyed teaching the students in our class and will miss them, but needed to make this decision for personal reasons. She hopes to stop in and visit with the students before the end of the year – to wish them luck in first grade!
I will be the full time teacher for the remainder of the school year. I am excited to finish out the journey with the students and have enjoyed watching them grow and develop this year. There is still much to be done this last month of school, so stay tuned for more learning and growing! Please contact me with any questions, concerns or to set up a conference.

Shapes
We're talking about shapes in our Math Investigations. We're finding shapes all around us and using shapes to make cars, houses, animals, clocks, ice cream cones - everything is made of shapes! I love this slide show about shapes. Have a look at it with your little one.

The Five Senses
At the zoo this week, we reviewed the five senses! We learned about how animals feel, taste, hear, see and smell. Click the arrow in the middle of the screen once to start this video on five senses as an extra review for your child. Talk to them in everyday conversation about things that we see, smell, feel, hear and taste...and the body parts that go along with those senses!
E-mail Mrs. Farber
If you have any questions or concerns about your child's progress, I'd always be glad to meet with you or talk to you on the phone. However, I know schedules are busy. If it's easier, e-mail me and I'll get back to you!! I'm glad to work with you in any way I can!
Starfall
Are you looking for something to help your child in reading? Starfall is a great website that helps kids with letter recognition, letter sounds and phoneme blending. Click here to check out this great literacy website that kids love!
Pledge of Allegiance
We are learning new things everyday! Talk to your students about the American flag - help them recite the Pledge of Allegiance. We have had several of our students lead the school in the Pledge of Allegiance on the morning announcements! We look for students who are working hard and showing good behavior to help in leading the school in the Pledge. Can your child be one of those students?!

Welcome!
Welcome! This is the first educational blog I've ever done - information straight from me to parents about what's going on in our classroom. You may find information about interesting things we're studying, pictures of things we're doing at school, or links that you may find helpful at home. Check back regularly for more information about what's going on with Farber's Kindergarteners!!!
